VAFI Scholarships - Insights From Participants

In 2023 two VAFI Members recieved scholarships to attend international training events. Our next training session, they will share their learnings and insights from the events they attended.

Rachel Noble

Attended the International Symposium for the Analysis and Detection of Explosives (ISADE) held in Charlotte, North Carolina from 11 – 15 September 2023. 
Rachel also attended the FBI laboratories in Huntsville, Alabama & Quantico Virginia, and the ATF laboratory in Ammendale, Maryland.

Completed the ATF Advanced Origin and Cause and Courtroom Testimony Program in Huntsville Alabama and the Forensic Fatal Fire Investigation Program with Dr Elayne Pope in Virginia Beach

This session will be face to face for members who can attend VPFSD – 31 Forensic Drive Macleod and also Via Video Conferencing for those who can’t attend the site.

Registration (name on the list at Forensics), and photo ID will be required to get past VPFSD security gate.
